Derrick Boelter Multimedia owns and hosts this "Reels for Actors" site. Derrick, a multimedia guru, decided to take his passion for the entertainment industry and his love for technology and put them together.

"I was always always always into computers, from way back in the day. When I was travelling around the country working as a musician and playing concerts, I had to haul this 500 pound ‘laptop’ computer with me to give me something to do in the hotel rooms at night.... and after getting involved in video and TV production and having cut together a zillion commercials, industrial videos, and other programs - I realized, wow - people don't need to be paying the company that I'm working for $300 an hour for the same skills that I can give them from out of my own little shop." Derrick has worked for clients that have included Disney, UPS, NBC, CBS, ABC, Lifetime Television, The National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Playboy, and many others.

A graduate of the two year program at the Sanford Meisner Center in North Hollywood, Derrick knows that he's got an edge on other editors. "Spending 12 to 20 hours a week working on the Meisner technique has completely changed how I view the craft of acting. I have a much better perspective on why one performance is better than another - and use those skills to offer people better reels than I could have cut for them in the past. I know that once I sit down with an actor and we begin the process of cutting their reel - and they discover that I am an actor in addition to being a gearhead - they usually loosen up and we have fun collaborating. And it's such a blast when yet another client calls me and tells me that they've booked another job!"
